How do I fix an incorrect discount rate stored in PGM or Mini?
If you enter an incorrect IRS discount rate by mistake, PGM/Mini will associate this incorrect rate with the current month, which could lead to incorrect deduction calculations. PGM/Mini does error-check to make sure your entry is between 0 and 100 and is rounded to 0.2%, but other types of mistakes can slip through.
Fixing this mistake is easy. First, select IRS Discount Rate Table from the Customize menu. Second, open the Edit IRS Discount Rate window. Now, enter the correct rate, then close the window and return to the Main Screen. PGM/Mini will now be storing the correct IRS discount rate for the month. When you quit your PGM/Mini session and are asked whether you want to save your configuration, be sure to select yes so that your correction becomes a permanent part of your copy of PGM/Mini.
