GiftWrap is a Web-based application.  As such, GiftWrap is a client/server application, the pages of which are served by an application/Web server and are displayed by a Web browser.  GiftWrap pages are served over a network, such as the public Internet, or perhaps an internal corporate network.

Desktop or laptop computer with a 233MHz processor or higher (Pentium processor recommended)

1024 x 768 or higher-resolution monitor with 256 colors

Notes:

1. The GiftWrap database can operate successfully in a database server environment running Windows Server 2003 as its operating system and SQL Server 2005 or 2008 (32 or 64 bit) as its database management system
   
   
2. Database storage requirements will increase with database size.  Note that 20GB database server storage is a minimum recommendation.
   
   
3. Note that SQL Server 2005 does not support Transparent Database Encryption (TDE), and therefore does not offer the same comprehensive level of data security as SQL Server 2008.
