Quick Tip: Custom Logos Make PGM Diagrams Pop!
Planned Giving Manager (PGM) creates diagrams that illustrate a variety of common gift planning techniques. We have helped scores of clients make these diagrams even more attractive by incorporating their logo. The great news is that PGM 6.1, released last month, makes adding your organization's logo to PGM easier than ever. We charge just $100.

1. Send us your logo in .jpg, .tif, or .gif format.
2. We convert your logo to .wmf format and send it back.
3. You save your logo file in your PGM folder.
4. Select your logo as the charity icon whenever you create a diagram.

HelpClip: Creating Prototype Gift Annuity Agreements
There are now eight states that require organizations to get their annuity agreements approved before they can issue gift annuities within the state. California no longer requires agreement approval. Fortunately, Planned Giving Manager (PGM) makes it easy for you to create the prototype agreements needed to satisfy any of these states. And with PGM 6.1, we have incorporated the very latest agreement requirements, which include changes to accommodate New Jersey, New York, and Washington.

The New Jersey change is of particular interest to organizations that already have agreements on file there. New Jersey now requires agreements to include a Payment Correction paragraph. If an organization's agreements currently on file with New Jersey do not contain this paragraph, the organization must re-file its agreements.

PGM's online Help gives you extensive guidance on how to create prototype agreements.

New GiftCalcs Release Boasts New Calculations
We have added several useful calculations to GiftCalcs, PG Calc's online planned gift calculator. Released on March 13, the new GiftCalcs includes the following enhancements:

  • Calculations for gifts of appreciated property
  • Capital gains reporting for gift annuities and deferred gift annuities
  • Retained life estate calculations

Additional improvements to GiftCalcs include:

  • A simpler interface for entering gifts that last for one or two lives
  • A better-organized Client Center
  • An expanded disclaimer field that allows up to 1,000 characters

If your organization already uses GiftCalcs, go to your web site and try out the new calculations so that you can see what visitors to your web site can do now. Note that we have made the new retained life estate available as an option in the calculator for most clients. If you prefer that this calculation not be available to your GiftCalcs visitors, you can turn it off in the Client Center under Gift Options – Gift Types.

If your organization does not use GiftCalcs, now is a good time to consider adding it to your organization's site.
