Quick Tip: Important Reminder - Tax Form Requirements for Gift Annuity Beneficiaries
Organizations with gift annuity programs are responsible for sending 1099-R tax forms to annuitants and the IRS.

The following are the timing requirements and links to the IRS for additional information:
- January: Print the 1099-Rs for 2007; furnish 1099-R Copies B or C to annuitants by January 31
- February: Print and send 1099-R forms Copy A to the IRS by February 29, 2008*
- March: Send 1099-R information electronically by March 31, 2008
  *Sending 1099-R data on a 3½" diskette is no longer acceptable
