Alison O’Carroll, J.D., MBA

Alison O’Carroll recently joined the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as the Associate Director, Planned Giving. In this role, Alison manages an active portfolio of donors and prospects. In addition, she has specific program leadership responsibilities, including leading the marketing program and conducting the presentation and training program for frontline fundraisers, volunteers, and other constituencies.

Prior to joining Fred Hutch, Alison was a senior consultant with PG Calc for nine years, starting in April 2006. As a consultant she worked with a variety of non-profits across the country, advising and guiding them with regard to their planned giving programs and donors.

With additional positions at CARE and the University of Washington School of Public Health, Alison has worked in the field of development and planned giving for over 20 years. During that time, she has served in local leadership roles, including President of the Washington Planned Giving Council (WPGC), and has spoken at various conferences and meetings across the country.

Alison received a B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and her law degree and MBA from Emory University. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (Real Property Probate and Trust section and the Estate and Gift Tax Section), as well as the WPGC, Advancement Northwest AFP, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, and the Seattle Philanthropic Advisors Network.
