Client Services Advisor

PG Calc is a 30-year old Cambridge company specializing in planned giving that develops, sells, and supports software, offers marketing services and consulting, and provides planned gift administration for charitable organizations nationwide. PG Calc’s Client Services is the foundation for our excellent reputation in the important world of charitable gift planning. We are seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented individual to join our staff of 35 in the Cambridge office.

The Client Services Advisor is part of the Client Services Department, which is responsible for ensuring that PG Calc clients receive outstanding support.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • Providing client support on the use of PG Calc software and planned giving concepts
  • Assisting clients with crafting gift plans for specific donor situations
  • Delivering calculation services
  • Conducting training classes and orientations in the classroom and on-line
  • Writing and coordinating communications to clients
  • Participating in cross-departmental projects

Ideal candidates must have at minimum an understanding of planned giving fundamentals and the desire to build upon that foundation; a facility for teaching gift concepts, basic or complex; excellent communication and computer skills; an aptitude for mathematics; and the ability to concentrate on details and follow through on all assignments. She or he should have the ability to work independently as well as participate as a member of a team.

Competitive candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and experience in advancement, planned giving, or related fields. Familiarity with PG Calc’s software is a plus. Occasional travel is required.

Client Services Assistant

PG Calc is a small, well-established company providing software and services to charities and financial institutions in the specialized area of planned giving, a form of philanthropic giving. PG Calc enjoys an outstanding reputation for excellence and stellar client service.

The Client Services Assistant is part of the Client Services Department, which is responsible for ensuring that PG Calc clients receive outstanding support.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer telephone and e-mail messages.
  • Resolve client questions, requests and issues, or transfer to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain client records, fill orders, and develop expertise in use of PG Calc’s client database.
  • Assist with client communications and support department members.
  • Coordinate meetings and events.
  • Develop working knowledge of PG Calc’s software and services.
  • Participate in testing PG Calc software.
  • Contribute to ad hoc and cross-departmental projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
2 - 4 years of college

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
Two years of previous related experience.
Typing or keyboarding experience.
Administrative experience preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent telephone manner.
Attentive to detail and accurate.
Well organized and able to multi-task.
Good writing skills.
Good sense of humor. Cooperative and willing to assist others. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Marketing Services Associate

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an aptitude for marketing and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to join our growing Marketing Services team in the Cambridge office. This line of business builds websites, and creates direct mail and email campaigns for non-profits (in their brand) for planned giving. The ideal Marketing Services Associate is a passionate, collaborative, outgoing, and creative person who will manage client marketing projects and grow client relationships. This role will collaborate with writers and designers to make certain each project is completed on schedule.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish trusted relationships and have primary responsibility with a segment of Marketing Services Clients.
  • Form open channels of communication with each client, responding to their questions, guiding them, gathering necessary content, and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
  • Project-manage marketing campaigns such as websites, email, direct mail, mobile, with them.
  • Work with PG Calc’s graphic design team managing and scheduling projects, organizing content, and coordinating activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks that meet client's specifications and adhere to client's brand guidelines.
  • Ensure creative marketing materials undergo quality control review through editing and proofreading.
  • Maintain workflow calendar and provide regular updates to clients on the progress of projects, results and recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deal well with changing deadlines/priorities. College degree.
  • 1+ years of marketing experience.
  • An understanding of multi-channel marketing best practices and brand development.
  • Direct mailing experience needed.
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in client relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Understanding of Drupal CMS platform, a plus.
